If you're comparing occupational health providers, you've probably noticed something frustrating:
Pricing is unclear, timelines are slow, and outcomes often depend on whoever happens to handle the case.
Intelligent OH exists to fix that with our 'Genius' expert system.
This page explains how our pricing works, why it's different from traditional Occupational Health, and how to decide whether Genius is right for you and your business or client base.
Our pricing is built first and foremost for:
- HR & H&S Consultants
- Occupational Health Professionals
- SME's
- Larger corporates and public sector organisations
If you manage employee health decisions, advise employers, or want a faster and more 'defensible' way to deliver OH outcomes, you're in the right place!

Let's be completely honest.
Much more cost effective than traditional occupational health
Not a DIY, tick-box tool
Massively more cost effective because of automation
If someone asked us, 'Are you expensive?' the truthful answer is:
Not at all.
Because Genius removes the most expensive part of occupational health: clinician time.
The only 'cost' advisors need to consider beyond price is the small amount of admin time required to upload employee details and trigger an assessment.
Pay-As-You-Go Assessments
Ideal for employers or consultants with occasional needs.
You are invoiced when a report is generated, so this is low risk for you. If an employee doesn't log in to complete their assessment, there is no charge. We chase employees up to complete their assessment and warn them when their access to complete the assessment will be revoked.
The assessments vary in price depending on the type of assessment - for example, a new starter health assessment is significantly cheaper than a workplace adjustment assessment due to the depth and complexity of the questioning.
A good general rule of thumb is that our prices are at least 50% cheaper than traditional occupational health providers.
License Access (Best Value)
Ideal for HR consultants, H&S consultants and OH professionals.
Fixed license cost for a 12 month period
Unlimited or high-volume use (within terms)
Lower cost per assessment
No increase in cost as volume increases
If you manage assessments regularly, a license will almost always be the most cost-effective option.

Understanding this will help you compare providers fairly.
Complexity of the Case
In traditional OH, you have to deal with lengthy, and sometimes complex, medical histories which takes time. OH advisors also have to deal with emotional challenges that employees bring to assessments and consider multiple risk factors depending on the industry and role. All of this means longer appointments and a higher risk of opinion-led or biased reports.
With Genius:
- Complexity does not slow delivery
- Reports remain consistent and evidence-based
- No risk of personal bias creeping into recommendations
Human Involvement
Traditional OH pricing increases because nurses carry out lengthy calls, reports are written manually, evidence is interpreted subjectively and it takes time chasing employee consent.
Genius removes this entirely.
There is no requirement for human involvement to generate a report.
Compliance, Governance & Liability
All Genius reports are signed off by Lucy Kenyon, Managing Director - Clinical.
All Genius reports are covered by our professional indemnity insurance
The legal responsibility is with us, not the employer if the reports are questioned.
Speed & Urgency
Traditional OH providers suffer delays caused by people and scheduling.
With Genius, reports are instant and the only delay is the employee completing the assessment.
Our pricing stays low because:
Minimal human intervention
Clear, actionable and meaningful reports (no follow up calls required)
Evidence-based recommendations employers can act on immediately
Volume reduces cost instead of increasing it!

High OH prices usually come from:
- Employing OH nurses per assessment
- Appointment scheduling and no-shows
- Manual report writing
- Admin-heavy consent processes
This means buyers are actually paying for a "personal touch" but they need to accept the risk of subjective, opinion-based advice.
This is the most common hesitation we hear.
Yes - 'Genius' is a very different approach.
Yes - 'Genius' challenges how occupational health has always been done.
That's intentional.
Genius removes human bias, inconsistency, delays and unnecessary admin and replaces them with an evidence-base, speed, governance and scalability.
This approach isn't for everyone - only for organisations and consultants who are willing to lead rather than follow.
If you value:
- Evidence over opinion
- Speed over waiting weeks
- Consistency over variability
- Cost-effectiveness over tradition
Then Genius ticks those boxes.
If you prefer the old way simply because it's familiar, this probably isn't for you.

In loads of cases!
We need to free up OH advisors so that they can spend time where it's needed which is circumstances where there are severe mental health concerns, in-person assessment is required, cognitive assessment is required or where the employee has no intention of returning to work due to the seriousness of their illness. These are the situations where an occupational health advisor can truly add value (and it's worth paying the higher rates for that input!)
Do I need a subscription?
No. Pay-As-You-Go is always available.
Is this legally compliant?
Yes. All reports are clinically governed by Lucy Kenyon and insured.
Can I try it first?
Yes. Drop us a message and we'll send you a test login for you to create some pretend cases and see what the reports look like.
What happens if a case is complex?
Complexity does not affect speed, quality or bias. The focus is on symptoms so previous complex medical history isn't relevant in the context of the assessments.
